This plane has been only flown a half dozen times and has had no crashes or hard landings. Just not my type of airplane. It comes complete with 9 servos, retracts, brushless motor and 65 amp speed control. I also have a new spare spinner and propeller for it. Just add a receiver and 4s,3000 lipoly to get it in the air. Great Planes price is $410 plus taxes plus $30 for the spare prop and spinner. I am asking $275.

Buy, Sell, Trade or Give Away / Hangar 9 Piper Pawnee
« on: May 20, 2018, 08:38:29 PM »
I have a Hangar 9 Pier Pawnee for sale complete with 6 servos, custom pilot and Scorpion 4020-12 brushless motor. The landing gear plywood mount was damaged on a hard landing and has been replaced with a much stronger heavy duty plywood mount. You can't see that it has been repaired. This model has been recently discontinued by Hangar 9 but was sold by Great Hobbies for $430 plus taxes and shipping. I am asking $300 for everything which is less than half what it would cost including the motor and servos. . The cowl has been cutout for a 4 stroke engine but looks fine as is with the electric motor.

Buy, Sell, Trade or Give Away / Graupner MZ-24 Pro Radio System
« on: April 22, 2018, 11:13:22 AM »
I bought a Graupner MZ-24 Pro radio on an impulse and have decided that I will stick with what I have as the cost to replace more that 15 receivers and telemetry accessories really doesn't make sense. This radio is brand new and comes with 4 receivers and a carry case.
Asking $495 which would save you over $225 purchased in Canada.

Buy, Sell, Trade or Give Away / Re: Custom DJI 350 Quadcopter

Sorry I didn't see your reply to the ad until now. I flew it with my own receiver to test it out. The lowest I will go is $250 with one battery. The camera mount alone is worth over $200 plus taxes.

Buy, Sell, Trade or Give Away / Custom Copy of the QRX 350 Drone
« on: February 08, 2018, 09:31:50 PM »
I bought this and then decided I really am not interested in Quad copters. This is a complete custom quad copter complete with DJI controller, GPS, G-3d camera mount, and 2 new 3cell 5200ma lipoly batteries. Also included is a complete set of spare parts which alone would cost almost as much as I am asking. All that is needed is am S bus receiver or any 4 channel receiver to get it in the air. I have tested it very basically and proved that the return to home works great. Brought it back to within 3 feet of where it took off.

Asking $325.00

A recent aerial pic of our field... note our classy new steel storage container in the upper left ! :)

Hi Ian; Great picture. I take it from the picture that you are getting ready to post an update for the flight simulator?

General Discussion / Re: Warbirds.

Can't figure out why there's nothing here on the warbird outstanding success. Rene and his helpers deserve great credit for the outstanding job they did. I believe there were 30 + members registered with more than 60 planes. Can somebody at least put some pictures up?

Couldn't agree more Gord. This was the first warbirds event I have been able to attend and was very impressed with the turnout and the quality of the planes. Thanks for sure go to Rene, Natalie and their helpers. I think we are going to see this grow every year.

I can't believe that this is coming from a diehard glow man who said he would never go electric. I think poor Gary must be on the verge of a nervous breakdown or soon will be with all the hassle and harassment he will have to put up with when we see him arrive at the field with a large elecric. He is already on his way wth his electric glider. Seems he spends all his time now staring up inthe sky in his easy boy chair drooling over the magic of electric flight. No noise and oily mess to clean up at the end of the day.

General Discussion / Re: In an electronic muddle

Hi Reg;

If your servos also will not respond I would suspect that you may have lost the bind between your TX and RX. Try rebinding and see what happens.

I have made changes to the write up to try and standardize with the numbering of the control pin configurations. If you plan on doing the modifications yourself be sure that yo don't get confused between the writeu ps. I will have the first revision removed from the forum.

Plans, Projects, Building and Flying Tips / Re: Flywheel.
« on: April 17, 2011, 10:47:54 AM »
Another of Gords wierd and wonderful planes(well maybe) There is a plane on another website called the Crazyball, Google it. In my book, in the videos it didn't fly very well, so here is my modified version  to make a performer out of the idea. It's two 20 in. discs perpendicular to one another. Needs much bigger control surfaces with lots of throw because of the slow speed characteristics. Pics tomorrow. This is just a break from rebuilding this electrified 1/3 rd scale foam Christen Eagle. Maybe I should do a bit on that one too. Wadya think?? ;D
How about bringing it to the meeting tomorrow night.
