Servo Balancing / Matching
« on: November 07, 2016, 06:58:19 AM »
On many transmitters (most, these days, especially on the higher end ones), there is a Servo Balancing capability. Why, and when/how to use it? It is common on large planes to have more than one servo operating a single control surface, or to have split surfaces in the Elevator or Aileron functions. Balancing the servos is very important, critical if the surface is continuous and has two servos operating in parallel.

Well, here is an excellent video that will explain a lot. It is produced by Terry of Performance Aircraft Unlimited (flypau.com). He has a lot of great information available. PAU sells the Viper, one of the best large 3D-capable aircraft on the market. Dan has one and learned a lot from Terry's efforts - right up there with the Jesky's of AJ Aircraft in the business of designing, flying and producing the best machines that they possibly can.
