General info

This year’s KRCM Warbirds Gathering will be held on Sunday 15 Sept from 1000 hrs to 1400 hrs,  The intent for this day is to have a lot of fun, fly warbirds and enjoy a good deal of bashing from the peanut gallery. Get the dust off the wings and get D-Day marking stripes on, after all, this year is the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

All types and era of military airplanes are welcome, for static display or for flying.

The challenges for this year are Bomb Drop,  parachute drop and spot landing, all at the same target area

The Pilot Brief will be at 1000 Hrs sharp.  any late arrival will need to see the AirBoss or the Safety for pilot brief.

There will be an attempt at mass take off at 1300 hrs.  The aim of this event is to do a mass flyby, no aerobatics, just circuit flying while attempting to fill the sky with warbirds.

As Usual, There are no registration or landing fees and the Canteen will be available for lunch and other munchies as available.

There will be Door prizes again this year.  The process for the  door prizes is based on the honor system and is simple, you are responsible to fill the ticket with your name and place it in the pot upon registration and after each flight.  The more you fly your warbirds the more you get your name in the Pot for the prize Draw.  Door prizes and aviation paraphenalia which are over $400.00 this year includes sponsorship from the Kingston Flying Club, and Great Hobbies in Ottawa.

In addition to the standard door prizes , we have secured a 30 minute familiarisation flight from the Kingston Flying club and this fantastic prize will be the Object of a separate draw  !!

Time to do the pre-flight checks on those warbirds... Got an old warbird?, bring it, you might be able to find a new pilot for it.
