EzFly - Reg's latest build
« on: August 29, 2019, 10:20:52 AM »
I needed a design for a foamy trainer for my son-in-law Vince who expressed interest in RC flying. I found this popular plan on RC groups and built it pretty much as designed. A common problem with other builders on this design is that it is a bit tail heavy and if I was to build it again I'd modify everything aft of the prop.
It is very tame, and good for beginners. Without much  instruction Vince was able to fly and land it first time, never having had hands-on sticks before.
Being built of EPP foam, it is very resilient, and the centre mounted prop makes landings very forgiving. I'm thinking of a larger model than the existing 30 inch wingspan. Take a look!

I eagerly await seeing it up close. Scale it up a bit, stiffen the wing suitably and we should stick something like my mini fpv cam/tx on it.
